PCE Europe is offering a three-day Seminar on Ethics in the Mental Health Caring Professions. The Seminar is organized by the Pancyprian Association for Psychotherapists (PAP) and the Chamber for Person-Centered Psychotherapy. Our host will be
UCLan Cyprus.
In this seminar we will discuss PCE Europe basic Ethics Framework. As mental health professionals we come very close to people and our working instrument is the relationship itself and the setting/framework that we create. Beyond any methods or standards this relationship is governed by Ethics, by the question “What (do) we owe to each other” (T. M. Scanlon).
We hope that this seminar will offer a better understanding of Ethics and how Ethics are related to the quality of your clinical practice. We believe that you will be better equipped to avoid or solve ethical issues. And if this is not possible then to ask for support and help.
What can you expect from this Seminar:
- What is Ethics and the difference with other concepts.
- What is the connection with mental health practices
- What are the basic Ethical Principles that create the setting for the practice
